MF

Hey. This whole new mood in class is quite... good in a way. The way I see everyone sitting down and studying is indeed quite scary lah. Makes me wanna study as well.

Then today, got back our organic chem test. Disappointed with my results. Most of them were due to carelessness, SF, and overlooking small details. SF. I just hate it. If you all still remember, i once lost 12 marks just through SF alone for one physics task. Another 4 marks for my Physics Test. And now in chem also i had marks deducted for SF. But it wasn't as bad as physics, so that's good. Still going to work on org chem. I need to improve.

I also got back my German Prelim Results today. Thought I did well until paper 1 came along and scrwed it all up. Thana, if you read this, TAG! I lost to dw and thana. I think thana topped the class, getting smth like 80. Haha. So, just hope to buck up in time for the big Os. Until then, need to revise on my weak areas.

Revision is scaring me. I don't if i can remember what I can study.ANd i definitely freaked out after Ms Toh's SS lesson today. Though I must admit that the pointers she gave out were useful. Haiz. After today's SS lesson, I am really quite scared for SS, and everything else as a matter of fact. I think I, and everyone else, really want to do well for the EOYs. And it's obvious from the effort everyone is putting in. Guess i need to put in just as much the rest.

_

I have been thinking about smth for awhile.

No one is a loser. Everyone is really good at something. One particular thing. And i thought of the power of that idea.

Scary.

If you only once would let me

Hey. I guess I have been addicted to Rebel Yell by Toby Rand thanks to Desmond. It's a damn good video, which i think everyone should see. The lyrics of the song are quite sick though. Haha.

Went down to Park Mall yesterday to get my braces fixed. My teeth are painful once again, but i guess i don't have much of a choice. After that, ate pasta at PS and went off to school for the LA lectures. Woah. They were quite good in the sense that I was able to consolidate most of the work taught in the first year in a few years. I definitely have a much clearer picture of things now, which is good. I also got to look at the various LA mock papers, and one essay question struck me. Math is an art, not science. Do you agree? What do you think? I have never seen such a weird question as an essay topic before.

I think I would agree. But let's not go there for the time being.

I just hope everything works out well. Just trying not to get worked up, but i guess i can't help it. And many things are bugging me right now. I cleared some doubts, but new ones came about. I still don't know what to do.

To yvonne, yeah, 6A really did rock! Hopefully we can all have a better time talking and having fun during the chalet! I don't know why, but i wasn't too sad when i left my primary school. I mean, I was leaving a lot of things behind, most importantly, friends of 4 to 6 years. But to me, primary school was just so long. I was just so happy when primary school ended, thinking that there were better things to do in life. I thought it would be much more fun. But, I got to learn that the world wasn't a bed of roses.

I guess I'll have to go back to my room then.

Time sure does fly Eugene. And I like my black cbox yr. Haha.

And just something I thought was really funny. A bit stupid, but still funny.

The following is an actual question given on a University of Liverpool
chemistry final exam.

The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it
with colleagues via the Internet, which is why we now have the pleasure of
enjoying it as well.

Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law that
gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need
to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which
they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to
Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many
souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in
the world today. Most of these religions state that, if you are not a member
of their religion, you will go to Hell.

Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not
belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.
With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in
Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the
volume in Hell. Because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature
and pressure in Hell to stay constant, the volume of Hell must expand
proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter
Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell
breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell,
then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Sandra during my freshman year,
that "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into
account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must be
true, and thus I am sure that Hell is endothermic and has already frozen
over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows
that it is not accepting any more souls and is extinct...leaving only
Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being - which explains
why, last night, Sandra kept shouting "Oh my God."

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A".

I'd rather chase your shadow all my life

Hey. I guess this post goes out to all the teachers who are currently reaching me. All the teachers in the IP department, erm, Mr Veera, Ms Toh, Mr Ang, Mr Boy, Mr Teo, Ms Farah, Ms Low, Mrs Jay, Mr Koh, Mr Lam, Mrs Cheng, Mr Lam, Ms Goh and Mr Ng! Everyone are from the IP department except the last 2, who accompanied a group of us to SV earlier this year.

This year's teachers' day celebration was quite okay lah. Was sitting right at the back of the hall, so I didn't feel very involved. Some parts were quite funny though. But teachers' day didn't quite feel like teachers' day since I had my exams and couldnt go abck to VS or my primary school. So anyway, stayed in class after which I left with Eugene and Thana to Bishan Macs for lunch and MOELC after that.

German prelims was quite scary. The second compre was incomprehensible and i made so many careless mistakes in the cloze. The listening compre was also quite bad. Haiz. I shall just stop thinking about it. Thana, if you see this, TAG!

Then today had to go to NTU in the morning. The queue for 179 was so freaking long! IT went all the way to the MRT station! haha. Despite three 179s coming consecutively, the queue was still so long. Did some stuff, preparations for our final round of experiments, and left at about 3 plus. Slacked at home and watched discovery channel. All the shows on Discovery and Nat Geo (except those about animals) are really good. Everyone should watch them. Anyway, watched Discovery, and started to play FIFA when I got a call to meet up with my primary school friends. We met and went to our teacher's house.

Got to talk to my teacher, ate pizza and caught up with old friends. Was really great seeing everyone after such a long time! I was together with them for such a long time, I don't think I will ever forget them. Haha. Some of us were in the same classs for 6 years! haha, hard to forget, yeah? Anyway, just came back home. Gonna play FIFA and sleep after that. I have an early day tomorrow.
