One sign that i'm getting used to army life: when people say pc in the outside world, first thing that comes to mind is platoon commander instead of personal computer.

So life's going to be more free and slack for the remaining 3 weeks of bmt, since nearly all my key events are over. GAC, live range, hand grenade, field camp, sit test, urban ops all over within the first 5 weeks. All i have left is to train for ippt and soc for the remainder of my bmt.

IPPT on friday was an improvement from the first one, but definitely still disappointing, especially situps. I did 40, just nice for an A and relaxed for the rest of the time. But only after i had finished did my commander tell me that i didn't cup my ears properly and penalised me for that. So in the end, it was recorded as 35 situps and that cost me my gold. Sigh haha. My chin ups have been improving though, managed to do 9! I could've have probably done 10 if i pushed really hard, but i realised it wouldnt have made a difference anyway since i had already screwed up my sit ups.

On a positive note, i finished first in my platoon for 2.4! haha didn't expect at all cos my platoon has this nj kayaker. most probably he was having a bad day or smth. Nevertheless, i'm still happy with getting 9:06. I just hope to push my timing to sub 9 and be able to do 12 chin ups. I've 3 weeks to train for it!

Ah i think i'm really going to miss my bunkmates once i leave bmt, all 12 of them. I think they were probably one of the most important group of people that helped me pull through the first 5 weeks of bmt. One good thing was that all of us were from different schools and that really forced us to get to know everyone, and that really helped bring everyone closer together. Just sitting down at the table, without our shirts, drinking our peach tea/aloe vera...

Strangely enough, i think i'm gonna miss orion and platoon 1 section 2 in particular.
