P-P-Paka
Hey. Got back home on sunday night or rather monday morning. Reached home at 12 i think. Laura dropped me off at Buona Vista MRT after which i took the train home. The cut on my leg is really quite bad. The doctor said he can stitch it anymore, since the cut is obviously infected. And it doesn't help that the cut is under my foot. So I cant walk properly either.
It was a good thing that i only got the cut on the last day while kayaking. So i wasn't affected that badly. Kayaking still remains one of my biggest regrets; basically not pushing myself enough. I kayaked with pearlyn at first but i could never find a proper way of sitting on the kayak. There was never space for my legs and my back kept hitting the back of the kayak. Now there's a bruise on my back. Ouch. But after that she switched and I went solo, which turned out to be disastrous. My back ached more and I couldnt move. Ended up being towed. But after that I kayaked with Shannon and I sat in front. Finally had enough leg space and nothing hitting my back, so i could kayak properly. The end was really beautiful, the whole sea, etc. Wilbur and yirui were really scary. Haha.
The night at the chalet was fun as well. Roomed with the great leader, mark, koganti, justin, cleaven and timo. Talked late into the night about many things, and they were really great to talk to! Shared a room with justin. Never in my life did I ever think that I'd sleep in the same bed as him, lol. The dinner with the guys and the Campfire after that was cool as well. Just that my leg started to ache really badly.
The trekking the day before was quite... fun as well, but in a different way. The trek was quite tiring, but not the like the satisfying tiring that you got after kayaking. The waterfall was super cold. I made a mistake by slipping in. I shivered after I came out. Brr. But overall, the trek was fun! Especially all the talking up and down the mountain. Plus the emo session with desmond on the bus ride back.
The raft building and kayaking and orienteering and backwoodsman cooking the day before was quite fun as well. The raft my group built screwed up half way out into the river. We ended up forming a long chain and went back to shore. Trust me, the chain itself was more fun that the whole raft building. Nightwalk was really fun too! Respect to Zheng Chen. Seriously. Led the pack all the way. After that was solo night walk. Was the third to return back to camp. PRC looks damn scary in the night, empty.
Well, the journey the first day was quite fun as well. With wilbur singing on the bus, not many people could sleep. Haha. The journey back was equally fun as well! Crapped with the rest and had lunch at Kuantan. The dinner was really worth it for $6, considering the fact that we had like chicken, fish, squid, prawns, rice, soup, tofu and kang kong. It lasted me all the way back home. The scene on the bus towards the end wasn't necessary and is really worth forgetting. It never really had to happen at all. Never mind, nothing can be done now.
I think the teachers and instructors did a great job as well! And Persevere A! You pple were awesome!
And it was great to be with you all again. All 70+ of you.
Damn, I hate this feeling.
